That’s really all you need to get started. The only part I really enjoyed was in the middle where he talks about Korn starting up and the first couple of albums.
Like I said earlier, the writing isn’t the best, but liife book is very entertaining and informative. Korn is the greatest, according to Fieldy. If you are a fan of Fieldy and Korn, this is a must read. This is anther look into the history of the band Korn, this time, from the perspective of bassist, Fieldy. When Korn exploded, skyrocketing to the top and fronting the nu-metal phenomenon, Fieldy became a rock star and acted like one–as notorious for his hard-partying, womanizing, drug-abusing, bad-boy behavior as he was for his one-of-a-kind bass lines.
He was unfaithful, abusive, mean, sometimes violent.
Then that became Garfield, then Field, then Fieldy. Interesting story of a sinner saved by grace. I personally thought that this book was facinating. Korn is not fot world’s greatest metal band? Got the Life is simultaneously an insider’s look at rock n’ roll superstardom-the good, the bad, and everything in between-and a survivor’s story of a life brought back from the precipice by a new found belief in religious salvation.
I wonder what’s next? It can be a bit preachy, but it definetly shows just how damaging that the party l I read this in my high school years, since I was a fan of Korn at the time.

I really enjoyed this book, reading of Fieldy’s time in Korn, both before and after his conversion, and about his life before and after he trusted in God. Mar 31, Charlotte rated it liked it. May 05, Guillaume rated it it was ok. I didn’t really know anything about the guys in Korn.

Preview — Got the Life by Fieldy. Absolutely fascinating read about a guy with an extraordinary life, who found an extraordinary God. Fieldy had the life. Loved his journal entries. It would have been good to see more writing of his time in Korn after he became a believer, but it was still a really good book.

I still am, just not as much. It was interesting to read what Fieldy’s life has been and then to talk about how he’s paying attention to what his heart finally wants.
